Green Chickpeas with Wild Rice Image

GREEN CHICKPEAS WITH WILD RICE

Ingredients

  • 1½ cups – Uncle Bens White Rice
  • 1½ cups – Shitake mushrooms
  • 1 pinch – White pepper (to taste)
  • ½ cup – St. Maries Wild Rice
  • ¼ cup – Minced onions
  • ¼ cup – Butter
  • 8 oz – Green Chickpeas
  • 3½ cups – Chicken stock
  • 3½ cups – Water
  • 1½ oz – Chicken base
  • 3/8 oz – Paprika
  • 3/8 oz – Granulated garlic

Directions

Cook white rice in boiling water until done and set aside. Add chicken stock to white rice, onion, and mushrooms in an 8-inch pan. Cover with parchment paper and foil. Bake in oven at 350° for approximately 1½ hours or until done. Combine wild rice, white rice, Green Chickpeas, and serve.
